Marvin "Bill" Wilson age 77 departed this life January 1, 2014 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
He had been a non-smoker since 1982.
He was surrounded by family during his peaceful last breaths.
Predeceased by parents, Cassie and Speed Wilson, sister, Susie Wilson and daughter, Lisa Wilson.
He leaves behind his devoted wife of 54 years, Judy Wilson, daughter, Christine (David) Charles, grandchildren, Cody and Cassidy Charles, stepson, Brad (Carmen) McMillen, nephew Robert (Coleen) Wilson and many other family and friends.
Bill spent most of his career as a long distance truck driver including owning his own truck and traveling with his wife all over the country.
He was an avid fisherman enjoying his favorite catch, a trophy sized bass.
He enjoyed hunting, football and NASCAR. Bill served our country as a Marine stationed in Hawaii and Japan.
He was well respected as a President and Trustee with Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Bill was a man of few words but when he spoke, you listened and sometimes laughed at his crazy sense of humor.
At Bill's request no services will be observed.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
