Mary A. Giles, age 91, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home. Mary was born on October 10, 1922 in Mingo Junction, Ohio.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert H. Giles; parents, Anna Waggoner Barrett and Martin Barrett; sisters, Anna Barrett Halischak and Bernadette Barrett Hennebert; brothers, Martin Barrett, George Barrett and John Barrett; and step-son, Gary Giles. Mary is survived by her son Carl (Cynthia) Giles; step-daughter, Pamela (Fred) Carpenter; sister, Patricia Barrett Bruno; three grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends between 1:00 and 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus OH 43231. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 pm. Contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society.
