Mary Ruth Ables

Mary Ruth Ables, 76, of Grove City, Ohio passed away on July 27, 2025. She was born on July 30, 1948, in Columbus, to the late Charles and Rosey (Mustard) Brady. She married Harry Ables on Oct 3, 1987, and after 35 years, he preceded her in death on April 18, 2022.

Those left to cherish her memory include children Shalene (Mike) Phillips, Mark (Teresa) Ables; siblings, Paul (Sue) Brady, Alice (Dave) Becker, Janet (Glenn) Byrum, Joyce Andrick, Nancy (Steve) Littleton.; many grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

Along with her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by the joy of her life, her son, Tony Prince.

Mary graduated from high school in 1966 and acquired degrees and certifications in her career. From real estate to top sales for Lazy Boy and finally teacher’s aide. Being around the kids was hard but the most rewarding for her. When she wasn’t at work, Mary loved to go to car shows, spend time in her garden and thrift.

Immediate family will greet friends and family from 10am to 12pm, Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions – Grove City, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. A service to honor Mary’s life will be held at 12 Noon, Wednesday, August 6, 2025; at the funeral home. Burial to follow privately.
