Mary Ann Riggle, 87, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025. She was born on September 1, 1938, in Jackson, Ohio, and lived a life rooted in faith, family, and compassion.
Mary Ann was a kind and loving woman who found joy in helping others. She valued family, love, peace, faith, compassion, and humility—virtues she lived by each day. In 1959, she married the love of her life, Richard, and together they built a home filled with love and grace.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; her children, Matthew (Lori), Ann Marie (Steve), and Mark (Marla); grandchildren, Hailee, Meredith, Jacob, Samuel, and Stephen; great-grandchildren, Caisee and Lilly; her sister, Rose Lynn (Ted); her close friends, Debbie and Jesse; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, David.
Mary Ann’s career included radio news before dedicating many years to a pediatric practice, where her gentle spirit and compassion touched countless lives. A devout Catholic, she found strength and peace in her faith throughout her life. She expressed this through her involvement with TEC (Teens Encounter Christ), the Carmelite Sisters and Carmelite Community, writing articles for publication, and teaching CCD.
In retirement, she enjoyed painting with her sister—especially abstract, surreal, and mixed-media works. She traveled with Richard, loved watching birds, and even helped raise ducks for the neighborhood pond.
Her warmth, faith, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her and forever cherished by those who loved her.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 12:00 noon in the chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High St., Lockbourne, OH 43137.
