On Saturday, July 18, 2020, Mary Balkun Daley left this earth to be with her loved ones in heaven. Mary always enjoyed family gatherings and there is going to be a reunion up there.
She was born on April 9, 1927 in Steubenville, OH, the daughter of the late Peter and Sophia Balkun. She joins her son James Daley and her siblings, sisters, Bertha Gajtka and Clara Kalinowski, brothers, Alfonse, Steve, Frank and Peter Balkun and nephews, Anthony Kalinowski and Bobby Gajtka. In her earlier years she enjoyed doing yard work for her church and playing baseball.
Surviving are her sisters-in-law, Gerry Balkun and Mary Balkun, her son, Richard and wife Mary of West Jefferson, OH, 2 grandsons, Matthew Daley of London, OH and Bryan (Allison) Daley and her great-granddaughter, Corinne of Galena, OH and many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19 concerns an outdoor remembrance service will be held at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 94 Mt. Calvary Lane, Steubenville, OH 43952 on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 11:30 a.m.
