Mary E. Claffey, 80 of Columbus, passed away at her residence on April 14, 2014. Born on May 21, 1933 to the late Monte and Virginia Taylor. Retired from St. Ritas Nursing Home and Arbors West. In her free time she loved to go to Bingo. Preceded in death by husband Harry E. Claffey, daughter Rebecca Fairchild and grandson Scott Akers, son-in-law James Schuler, daughter-in-law Nancy Claffey, brothers Everett, Sony Taylor and sisters Ruthy, Lillie Taylor. Survived by children Alice Schuler, Evelyn (Gary) Ramey, Sue Walk, Harry W. (Bev) Claffey, Birdie (Dave) Perry, Gary Claffey, Richard Claffey and Michael (Agustina) Claffey, 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, brothers George and William Taylor, sister Alice Lutz and special friend Everett Schuler.
Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, NE Chapel 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, Ohio on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm.
Funeral service on Saturday at the funeral home at 10am with Pastor Ed Bradley officiating.
Burial to follow at Obetz Cemetery.
