Mary E. Finney

Mary E. Finney, passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2025, after bravely battling cancer. She was born on August 31, 1962, at Mount Carmel hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Mary grew up on the West Side of Columbus, surrounded by her loving parents, Robert and Katherine Lee, and her three siblings, Margie Lee, Michael Lee, and Johnny Lee. Throughout her early life, she forged lifelong friendships that enriched her years. Mary held her closest friends from childhood dear, considering them family throughout her life.

Mary was a devoted mother to three wonderful children: Shannon Page, Gabriel (Aleah) Page, and Michael Finney. Her legacy continues through her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Kearsten (Nathan) Gordon, Tanner Fields, Tyler Fields, Wilson Page, Samuel Gordon, and Joseph Gordon. She was cherished not only by her family but also by many close friends, including Donald Finney, Brenda Nitraurer, Teresa Motil, and Cindy Davis.

Passionate about music, Mary used her gift to uplift others by organizing worship music programs for assisted living and retirement homes. Known for her beauty and grace, she shared her talents with those who needed it most.

Mary’s faith played a significant role in her life. She faced her illness with a courageous heart and an unwavering belief that her journey would lead her to be with God, allowing her to find peace in her final moments.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Robert and Katherine Lee, her siblings, Margie Lee and Johnny Lee, and her niece, Sarah Toy.

A visitation will be held on October 6, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at the same location starting at 1:00 PM.

Mary E. Finney will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
