Mary "JoAnn" Gibson

Mary "JoAnn" Gibson, 90, passed away September 28, 2025. She was preceded in death by parents, Joseph and Anna Louise Mercer; husband, James William Gibson; granddaughter, Angela Marie Redman; and sisters, Patricia Martin and Judy Leffler. Mary is survived by daughters, Deborah (the late George) Clapper, Karen Gibson, and Cheri (Bob) Gaines; grandchildren, Steven (Carla) Redman, Kayleigh (Meghan) Clapper-Rogers, Kristen (Tim) Clapper, and Julie Gaines; great-grandchildren, Kaden Arthur, Autumn Arthur, Bonnie Manley, Deegan Manley, Micheal Bucco, Brianna Bucco, and Andres Redman; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mary was a strong military wife and raised three girls during a difficult era. Mary loved to read, travel, and go to the casinos. She seemed to have the luck of the Irish. She took pride in taking care of her flowers and was sad when she could no longer care for them on her own. She adored her calico cat, Patches. Mary will be remembered for her sense of humor and will be missed by many.

Visitation Monday, October 6, 2025 from 12-2pm and 4pm until the time of Funeral Service at 6pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.
