Mary Kathryn Barnes, 85, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away October 28, 2013. She was born on June 29, 1928.
She was a graduate of West High School in 1946. Mary retired from The Ohio State University Department of Education. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and eating out.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Sally Barnes and companion, Ed Rowland.
Surviving family includes, children, Jeff (Joan Carney) Barnes, Nancy (Raymond) Cotton, Linda (Jim) Muter, 7 grandchildren,7 great-grandchildren, brother, Walter (Myrtle) Adams. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4pm, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, where a memorial service will begin at 4pm.
