Mary Marie Crawford, 77, of Hilliard, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2014, at Riverside Methodist Hospital due to complications from multiple strokes. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her death.
Marie was born in Blacklick, OH on October 1, 1936 to Curtis E. and Gertrude (Callicoat) Darst and is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jimmy H. Crawford; brothers and sisters, Ruth Garrabrant, Margaret McFarland, Curtis Darst Jr, Lucille Runyons, John Frank Darst and Jimmie Darst.
Survivors include her daughters, Alice (Michael) Masters and Tammy (Lonny) Kirby; sons, Jimmy Roger (Kathleen Cunningham) Crawford and Richard (Donna Josephson) Crawford; grandchildren, Jimmy "JR" Crawford Jr, Sarah Kirby, Brianna Masters and Adam Kirby; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Marie was a faithful member of the Canaan Land FWB Church in Grove City where she served in the Women Active for Christ Auxiliary group and enjoyed her hospitality duties when called upon.
Marie was loved and respected by all who knew her.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014, 11:00 AM at Canaan Land FWB Church, 2777 Gantz Road, Grove City, OH with Visitation 1 hr prior.
Pastor Shawn Beauchamp will officiate.
Interment will follow at Mifflin Twp. Cemetery, Gahanna, OH.
