Mary K. Miller

Mary Atherton Miller of Lewis Center passed away on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at her residence. Mary was born on November 24, 1954 in Maysville, KY to Milton Atherton and Delores (Duncan) Atherton. She is survived by her husband Jerry Miller of Lewis Center, son Steven Guilkey of Lewis Center, Buster J, stepfather George Mitchell of Portsmouth, stepsons Curt Miller (JoAnn) of Delaware, and Michael Miller (Holly) of Centerburg, sister Annette Wittenmyer-Skeen (Milton) of Lexington, KY, brothers Bill Atherton of Columbus and Steve Atherton of Cincinnati, nephew Caleb Wittenmyer of Maui, HI, niece Emily Wittenmyer-Payne of Atlanta, GA and granddaughters Breanna, Audrey, Ashley, and Carly. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved mother Delores and father Milton. Mary graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1972. Her professional life entailed a variety of jobs in food service, insurance and banking. She loved gardening, traveling and shopping. She was a gentle soul whose love, devotion and desire to make others happy will be missed, but never forgotten. Mary was a "great loving wife", loving mother and grandmother, and an impeccable homemaker. Buster J (a Boston terrier) was Mary's beloved "four legged son".

Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, April 13th 2017 from 4-6 P.M. with a service at 6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road Columbus, OH 43231.
