Mary E. Riffle, born on January 10, 1947, in a family that cherished love and togetherness, entered eternal rest on September 26, 2025. Her smile, marked by an infectious laugh, brightened the lives of all who knew her. A devotee of joy and connection, Mary found her greatest happiness in the embrace of family gatherings and cherished moments spent shopping and enjoying life’s simple pleasures with her loved ones.
Throughout her life, Mary exemplified kindness and warmth. She was proud of the life she created alongside her beloved husband, Roger Riffle, Sr., with whom she shared countless memories and obstacles. Together, they raised a close-knit family that has grown and flourished over the years, a testament to their love and devotion.
Mary leaves behind a loving family who will continue to honor her legacy. Surviving her are her son, Eddie Riffle, her daughters, Teresa Gonzales and Malisa (Chris) Sweazey, and her brother, Howard Kendrick. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Deanna Milburn, as well as her grandchildren, Amanda Matthews, Chasity Sizemore, Marrisa Sweazey, Devon Gonzales, Sierra Wooten, Selene Garcia-Martinez, many great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews who brought her immense joy.
She is deeply missed by her family, including her late parents, James William Kendrick and Mary Margaret Kendrick, who guided her throughout her life, as well as her sisters, Ann Barrett and Shirley Peters, and her brother Butch Kendrick. Mary is also reunited in spirit with her sister-in-law, Rose Kendrick, and brother-in-law, William Milburn.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life through a Memorial Gathering on October 3, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service that will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest, located at 3393 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio, at 5:00 PM.
