Mary Kathryn Scanlan (Lacey)

Mary Kathryn Scanlan (Lacey), 70, of Grove City, Ohio passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family around her on Saturday, October 29, 2016. Kathy was born in Kansas City, Kansas on September 6, 1946 to Richard and Jodie Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, John Scanlan.
Kathy is survived by her children, Wayne (Stacie) Scanlan, Ginger (Tony) Brown-Edgecombe, Becky Pruitt and Berniece (Mike) Savoia; fourteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Ayla (Jim) Douglas, Scean (Gina) Smith and Heather (Stephen) Johnson; many nieces and nephews. The family would like to say a special thanks to, Caitie Smith, Chelsey Scanlan, Frannie Lewis and Kristy Hudson for their help and loving support during this difficult time. Kathy's loss will be felt deeply by many other friends and family members too numerous to name.
Kathy loved to ride motorcycles, travel and camping when she was younger. She loved her pugs. She loved her family most of all.
A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, on Saturday November 12, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 7:00 p.m., also at Newcomer Funeral Home.
