Maryanne Christy, 62, of Westerville, OH, passed away on April 14, 2016. She was born in Cleveland, OH on July 15, 1953. Maryanne was a gifted teacher in several schools, Groveport Madison being the most recent.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Bernadette Sorna. Surviving family includes husband, Jay, children, Anne (Adam) Grether, Joel (Pragya) Christy, grandchildren, Emily, Ethan, Aiden Grether, Sanya Christy, siblings, George Sorna, Bernadette Jira, Tom Sorna, Margaret Glenny, and John Sorna.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Monday, April 18, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 6077 Sharon Woods Blvd., Columbus, OH 43229. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am, Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the church, with visitation from 10-11am.
In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43215.
