MaryJo Kennedy, 91, passed away on April 2, 2014 in Westerville, OH. She was born on August 17, 1922 in Nelsonville, OH to Charles and Lucretia (Strawn) Kennedy.
MaryJo is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; two infant sisters; and great- grandson Brent Byington.
She is survived by nephew, David; great-nephews, Adam and Allen; granddaughter, Virna (Clint) Byington; granddaughter, Rochelle Messer; great-grandsons, Bryce and Blake; and many loving family members, friends and neighbors.
MaryJo was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Triangle Chapter number 592, Columbus, OH for over 50 years. She attended East Columbus Christian Church (currently Vineyard Christian Church) for many years. MaryJo was a very kind, loving, and Christian woman. She was very selfless and always put others before herself. Everyone that knew her would say she loved to talk, and loved watching TV. She had a strong passion for helping animals and loved spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Holy Cross Cemetery, 11539 National Rd. SW Pataskala, OH 43062. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Franklin County Area Humane Society in MaryJo's memory.
