Matthew Paul Helman

Matthew Paul Helman, age 28, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark, Ohio. He was born August 2, 1991 in Columbus, Ohio to parents, Paul Richard Helman and Laura Grayce Ellis.

Matthew was a kind hearted, loving man, and devoted father. He was a loyal friend, son and brother. He was always there to listen, give advice, support, make you laugh and to have a real, genuine conversation with. He was an adventurous, free spirited soul who loved a good thrill, his motorcycle and his dogs. He was GREATLY loved and he will BE GREATLY Missed.

Matthew is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, John W. Ellis Sr. and his uncle, Wayne F. Ellis Sr.

Matthew is survived by his son, Oliver Matthew Helman; parents, Paul (Carolyn) Helman, and Laura (Bernie) Ellis; sisters, Danielle (Zachary) Carney, Paula Helman; nieces and nephews, Alleah, Ryan, Christian, Luke, Davione; grandparents, Richard (Dolores) Helman and Carol Schultz. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Special friends, Robert Harris, Shannon Harris, Natalie Harris, Hannah Harris, Morgan Harris, Tiffany Harris, Jake Menker, Alexandra "Ally" Costell, Donald "Donny" Potts, Tessa Potts, Maria Potts, William Potts, and Taj Taylor.

The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm, Thursday, August 15, 2019 at the Grace Life Church of the Nazarene, 6000 Johnstown Rd, New Albany, OH, 43054. The funeral service will be held following the visitation at 6pm.
