Matthew Scott Mckahan

February 27, 1969 — August 13, 2020

Matthew "Matt" Scott McKahan, 51yrs old, passed away peacefully at his residence in Powell, OH on August 13, 2020. Matthew was born on Feb. 27, 1969, in Columbus, Ohio to Dorothy and Gene McKahan. He grew up in Westerville, OH, Boca Raton, FL, Nashville, TN, Powell and Dublin, OH, developing many life-long friends throughout the years. Matt attended Dublin High School and enjoyed playing football.

After high school, Matt enlisted in the United States Navy serving four years for his country. He inherited the gift of salesmanship from his mother and at a young age developed a successful sales career. As a boy, Matt was always interested in taking things apart and fixing them. Because of this gift, he pursued the vocation of becoming a High-Pressure Water Systems Technician, as a second career while living in Sarasota, FL. After relocating to Powell, OH in 2020, Matt continued this career. Matthew was a very caring, loving person, always ready to help someone else with a repair or installation.

Matt was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy J. McKahan, and grandparents, Edwin McKahan, Jean McKahan, Paul Farrell, and Donald Burke. He is survived by his father, Gene McKahan, brothers Michael McKahan, Marcus McKahan, sister Melissa McKahan, grandmother, Dorothy Burke, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is also survived by his long time special friend, Tina Davis.

A private service will be held for Matthew with family and close friends.
