Mattie Ann Patrick, age 77, of Opelika, Alabama passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Columbus, Ohio. Mattie was born February 28, 1940 to Claudie May Patrick and James Tucker.
Mattie was married to Marvin Harris and from that union bore 2 sons and 1 daughter. James Melvin (Bernice) Patrick, Dwight Douglas (Lisa) Harris, and Barbara Lynn (Vaughn) Parker. They blessed her with 6 grandchildren, Cornelious L. ( Laketha) Harris, Crystal L. (James) Drayton, Chris J. (Christian) Patrick, Tiffany Patrick, Sheresa (Spenthea) Jackson, and Rita Barnett. 8 Great-grandchildren, Journey, Azarie, Cornelious Jr., Kingston, Christian, CJ, Chase, and Corbin.
Mattie was preceded in death by her mother, Claudie Patrick; father, James Tucker; brother, Willie Patrick; grandmother, Mattie Curtis. She leaves behind a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:30 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43231. Services will follow at 10:30 at the funeral home with Pastor Doug Nault officiating.
