Maxine Jewell Green

Maxine Jewell Green, 78, of Grove City, went to be with her Lord, surrounded by her loving family on April 7, 2016. She was born in Chesapeake, OH to Eugene and Naomi (Thompson) Bolt on November 21,1937. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Madeline. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Marvin Green; sons, Marvin Green, Kenneth Green, Randy (Carmen) Green, Danny (Ruth) Green; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Maxine will be missed by many other family members and friends as well as her church family.
Maxine was a member of Missionary Baptist Mission in West Jefferson, Ohio. She loved to take care of children. She was an accomplished mother. Maxine was an active Cub Scout den mother and 4-H advisor. She helped found a day care in Hilliard. She spent several years with Kinder Care and Merry Moppets Daycare. Working with children was more than a job for Maxine; it was her passion. She loved arts and crafts. Maxine was an excellent cook.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2016. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April, 12, 2016 starting at 12:30 pm. The funeral will be officiated by Virgil Green. Burial will follow at Grove City Cemetery.
