Melda Bower, 80, of Columbus, OH passed away on March 12, 2017. She was born on January 26, 1937.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Rhoda Kirk, all siblings, son, Don Knotts (Bower).
Surviving family includes daughter, Ruby (Michael) Balogh, son, Larry Lee Bower, granddaughters, Lori Jean, Brittany, Katie, grandson, Nathan, great-grandchildren, special niece, Patty Snyder and many nieces and nephews and of course her special Reign.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm, Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. A funeral service will be held at 10am, Friday, March 17, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH.
The family would like to thank Grant Hospital, Radiation Department especially Roger, Kobacker House, Dr. Carlisle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
