Melissa Ann Craig, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, in Ashville, Ohio. Born on October 18, 1969, at Lockbourne Air Force Base in Ohio, Melissa was a bright light in the lives of many. Her warmth and love radiated from her, touching everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Throughout her life, Melissa dedicated herself to her career as a Supervisor at Tiger Poly, where she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Laughing with her family over shared memories, she cherished every moment spent together. Those who knew her can remember her gentle spirit and her boundless affection for her family, particularly for her husband, Tim, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond.
Melissa took immense pride in her family, her greatest achievement being the home she built filled with love. She is survived by her beloved husband, Tim Craig, and her children: Sandy (Michael) Cordiano, Kayla (Kirk) Kierns, Krysta (Andy) Overcash, Brian (Cassidy) Craig, and Dustin (Lexi) Craig. With an open heart, she adored her 16 grandchildren, relishing every opportunity to spoil them and celebrate their accomplishments.
She is also survived by her brother, Shawn Brown, her sister, Shelly Brown, her nephew, Justin Brown, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members, all of whom carry her memory with them.
Melissa had a passion for gardening, finding joy in nurturing plants just as she nurtured her family. She loved shopping for her children and grandchildren, which marked the joyous Christmas traditions she began long before the season arrived. Her adventurous spirit took her to beautiful destinations like Gatlinburg and the sparkling beaches of North Carolina, creating cherished memories that will resonate in the hearts of her loved ones. Known for her unique taste in cinema, she delighted in watching horror movies, often captivating friends and family with her reactions to the films.
Despite her passing, the legacy of Melissa’s loving and sweet nature will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. Though her parents, Thomas Brown and Sandra (Kuhner), have preceded her in death, her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, reminding them to hold tight to each precious moment of joy, laughter, and love.
As family and friends gather to honor her memory, visitation will take place on October 21, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a funeral service celebrating her life at 5:00 PM, all at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest in Grove City, Ohio.
Melissa Ann Craig embodied love, compassion, and strength. She will be profoundly missed but never forgotten, forever a part of the hearts she touched.
