Tuesday, November 20, 2018, Melissa Ann Penix (Willis) of Grove City, loving wife of Joe Penix and mother to their three children passed away at the age of 82, while surrounded by her family. Born May 27, 1936 to Genevieve and Willy Willis.
Preceded in death by both parents, brother, Leak Willis, sister, Phyllis Salvatore.
Survived by husband of 65 years, Joe Penix, brother, Roger Graham, and children, Bev Leonhard (Gary), Bo Penix (Gayle), Wayne Penix (Cathy). MeeMaw to Jeff Leonhard (Marla), Kim Miller (Tim), Bryan Penix (Kate), Brent Penix (Ashley), Wade Penix, Jerry Sowers (Kristi), and Stephanie Sowers. MeeMaw to her 8 great-grandchildren.
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was so proud of her family. Attended Grove City Nazarene, once employed by Sears Distribution and H&R Block. Her devotion to her Savior Jesus Christ, has opened the doors to heaven, as she is now happy and free of pain.
Calling hours Monday, November 26, from 4-8pm and service November 27 at 10am at Newcomer Funeral Home, Grove City.
