Melody Helmig, 61, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026 in Columbus, Ohio. Melody was born on July 25, 1965 in Columbus, Ohio to Daniel and Phyllis (Morris) Kingery.
Melody is preceded in death by her parents, son Jeremy Kingery, and brother Daniel Kingery.
She is survived by son, Josh (Stephanie) Helmig, daughter, Jennifer (Brian) Watson, brother, Ty (Marcie) Kingery, grandkids: Xander, Jocelyn, Daniel, Legend, Lenox, Jacob, Riyah, Zoey, and many nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins.
She spent her life loving others unconditionally. She loved spending time with her 8 grandchildren and family. She enjoyed gardening, doing crafting, and a nice cold Coca-Cola.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Columbus Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leukemia Clinical Research Foundation or American Brain Tumor Association in Melody's honor.
