Melvin C. Smith

Melvin C. Smith, 57, of Columbus, OH, passed away August 16, 2013. He was born on February 18, 1956. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ivan E. Smith and Mildred Nelson and sister, Linda Fiallos.

Surviving family includes, children, Anthony (Jody) Smith, Stephanie Smith, Steven Smith, ex-wife, Barbara Smith, siblings, Mary Childers, Darryl Smith, Patricia Mayhorn, Gloria Nelson, grandchildren, Jade, Jensen, Tristan, Haley, Dwayne, Stephanie, Sabrina, Mataya, Alexis, Cameron, many loving cousins, nieces and nephews, special friends, Becky and Peggy, and in-law, Maggie.

Melvin retired from Riverside Methodist Hospital after 37 years. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and co-workers.

Visitation will be held from 4-8pm, Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, OH. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am, Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Cemetery, Circleville, OH.
