Melvin E. Reed, age 74, of Columbus, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. He was born on July 2, 1940, in Columbus, to the late Clark "Buck" and Dorothy Reed.
He retired from Techniglass following many years of service.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Clark Reed and Dorothy Reed Karnes; brother, Larry Reed.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol Reed; children, Jeff, Sheri, Ronda, John, Robert, and Angela; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 2-4pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd., Columbus, OH 43231. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 2pm at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
