Melvin Homer Stebleton, 81, passed away on April 1, 2014 surrounded by his loving family in Columbus, OH. He was born on June 17, 1932 in Marysville, OH to Russell and Virginia (Johnson) Stebleton.
Melvin is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Jenny; wife, Pat; companion, Margaret; and siblings, Bryan and Virgil Stebleton.
He is survived by his brothers, Eldon (Agnes) Stebleton and Calvin (Mary Ann) Stebleton; sister, Shirley Hudson; and many nieces and nephews.
Melvin loved to bowl and to be outdoors. He enjoyed every moment he could spend with his family. Melvin started a Bible Study on January 13, 2013 at Restoration Village and still has many friends that live there. Melvin was a fun loving guy, and those that knew him would say he had a dry sense of humor. He will be missed by all that had the privilege of knowing him.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43231 followed by a Memorial Service at 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Rd. Columbus, OH 43215. The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to Melissa and Ginger who provided Melvin excellent care.
