Melvin M. Massey

Melvin M. Massey, 75, Columbus, was called home, Monday, April 7, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Melvin was born in Columbus, OH on October 22, 1938, to Edwin D. and Ruby (Nelson) Massey and is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lillie Mae Commodore; mother-in-law, Katherine P. Morgan.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Janice; daughters, Terri Lynn and Paula Marie Massey; son, Melvin Martin Massey, Jr; grandson, Tyreece Samuel Massey; brothers, Nathaniel (Betty), Edwin (Mary), James, Eugene (Eugenia)and Robert (Ruby) Massey; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph( Fonda) and Glenn(Jackie) Morgan, Linda (Louis) Price; host of cousin, nieces, nephews and friends.

Melvin retired after 30 years from Timken Roller Bearing Company.

Family and friends will gather on Saturday, April 12, 2014, 10 – 11 AM at New Zion Baptist Church, 1107 E Mound Street, Columbus, OH 43205 with the Service at 11 AM. Pastor Vincent L. Golden Sr. will officiate.
