Melvin Savoy Millard, 79, of , Washington, DC passed away December 24, 2019. He was born on April 29, 1940 to the late James and Mildred Millard.
He is preceded in death by his ten siblings.
Surviving family includes children, Ahava Israel, Mark Millard, David Millard, Tina David, Bernadeen (Todd) Strohm; thirty grandchildren; and thirty great grandchildren.
He was a retired decorated war hero specializing in communication in the United States Army. He received many metals of accommodation for his service in the military.
Melvin was a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and owned several small businesses.
