Merry C. (Clark) Smith, 60, of Columbus, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015, following a battle with cancer. She was born on November 25, 1954, in Wellston, Ohio, to Bill and Barbara (Allen) Clark.
Merry was a Lab Animal Technologist at the Ohio State University for ten years. She had a great love for her family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Clark; and brother, Kevin Clark. Merry is survived by her husband, Bud Smith; her children, Jason (Tammy) Smith, Chris (Briana) Smith, and Melanie (Kevin) Thornton; grandchildren, Kyle, Emily, Courtney, Nicholas, Loralei, Tyler, Liam, and Brayden; mother, Barbara Clark; siblings, Erin Clark, Michael Clark, and Kelly Zwilling.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 5, 2015 from 6-8pm in Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 10am in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio.
