Michael R. Fraley, age 75, of Somerset, Ohio, passed away December 5, 2025, at Brookdale Pinnacle Assisted Living in Grove City.
Michael retired from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office after 25 years as a Deputy Sheriff and later served as Captain of the Somerset Police Department. He returned to the Sheriff's Office as a Special Deputy until 2022. His military career included service in the Ohio Air National Guard, Ohio Army National Guard, and U.S. Army Reserve, retiring as Captain. He also served in the Ohio Military Reserve, retiring as Colonel.
A graduate of Groveport Madison High School, the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science, and Franklin University, Michael valued education and service. He was a 32" Scottish Rite Mason of the Valley of Columbus, Orient of Ohio, a member of the American Legion Post #58 in Somerset, and was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Johanne (Shriner) Fraley, his wife, Sheryl A. (Harris) Fraley, and his son, Keith. He leaves behind many friends and acquaintances who will remember his dedication to community and country.
