Michael Angelo Gianvito

Michael Angelo Gianvito, known to many as Mike, passed away on September 2, 2026, at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born on December 16, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio.

Mike was a familiar and valued presence to many through his years working at Cardo's Pizza. He had a deep love for music of all kinds, with a special appreciation for alternative music. He enjoyed playing his guitar and ukulele, and music was one of the many ways he expressed himself and connected with others. He also treasured the time he spent with his friends from the South End of Columbus, where he grew up, and those friendships remained an important part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Gianvito; his mother, Nina Gianvito; and his stepmother, Joyce Gianvito.

Mike is survived by his siblings, Tony, Shelly, Chris (Sheila), Joseph, Rene and Ricardo (Jennifer) Gianvito; step-siblings, Debbie, Becky, and Edie; his close friend, Dan Lehman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He will be remembered with love by those who knew him, and his memory will remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
