Mike Bell

January 28, 1958 — August 5, 2025

Columbus

Michael "Mike" James Bell, age 67, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on August 5, 2025. Born on January 28, 1958, in Columbus, he was the cherished son of the late Charles and Mary Lou Bell.

Mike's journey through life was marked by the warmth of family and the unwavering support of friends. He is remembered fondly by his daughter, Shannon Bell, who carries forward his spirit. His legacy continues to live on through his beloved grandchildren: Deven Norris, Dominic Bell, Elijah Bell-Starks, and Jordan Miller, who will always remember their "Granddad" with smiles and fond memories. He also leaves behind his brother, Steven Lewis, and sister, Robin (Roger) Almond, life-long friend, Samantha Almond, as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who were touched by his kindness and generosity.

Preceded in death by his parents and siblings—Barbara, Rick, John, and Danny—Mike's departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of his family. Yet, in mourning, they find solace in the cherished memories they have forged together over the years.

Mike dedicated many years of his life to Anheuser-Busch, where his work ethic and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Beyond the workplace, he was a passionate fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, proudly cheering for his teams through victories and defeats alike. His love for sports was matched only by his enjoyment of other pastimes, including watching horse racing at Scioto Downs, immersing himself in the excitement of NASCAR, and finding peace in the gentle presence of hummingbirds and cardinals with his sister in her yard.

Known for his unique expressions, Mike often lightened conversations with playful sayings such as "Big Fat Daddy from Cincinnati," "Teddy Bear's Picnic," and "Good Lord Willing and the Crick Don't Rise." These phrases, along with his infectious laughter, will echo in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

As friends and family come together to honor Mike's memory, they understand the indelible mark he has left behind—a mark filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments that will endure long after his departure. Mike Bell will be deeply missed, his spirit carrying on in the hearts of everyone he touched. Family and friends are invited to gather for calling hours on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Newcomer SW Chapel, located at 3393 Broadway Grove City, Ohio 43123, from 5 PM to 8 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to help with Mike's final expenses.
