Mitch Rife

Mitchell Allen Rife, age 62 of Columbus, Ohio departed this life on Monday, June16, 2025, at his home. He was the husband of Kathryn Baker Rife and the son of Oleta Marie Mcclaskey Rife and David Paul Rife, born to them on July 22, 1962.

He is preceded in death by his father, David Paul Rife.

Mitch was an avid horror fan and AC/DC fan. He also had a big love for animals, nature, arts and crafts, working in the yard, around the house, and collecting horror movie figurines and masks, Native American Pieces, Coca-Cola and M&M Memorabilia. He loved spending time with his family and friends and his fur babies. He always had a special place in his heart for the little ones, spending hours making gifts for them and doing crafts with them.

Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 41 years, Kathryn Rife of Columbus, one son, Eric Allen Scott Rife and son-in-law Jeffery Bargo of Columbus, his mother, Oleta Rife of Columbus, along with his two brothers, two sisters, two brother- in- laws and three sister –in- laws, and numerous nephews and nieces. He also leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Cremation for Mitch has been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, in Columbus, Ohio.
