Monty Alvin Baldridge, Sr., age 76, of Circleville, formerly of Five Points, OH, passed away unexpectedly at Doctors West Hospital in Columbus, OH on March 1, 2014.
Born October 25, 1937 in Auxier, KY. Served in the Navy from 1955-1959 followed by four years in the Air Force Reserves. Retired from General Electric in 1998. Worked at Beulah Park as security for 4 years. Spent his spare time with his flea market that he had for 7 years in Hillsboro.
Preceded in death by his wife, Rosia Gailya in 1999, whom he married on Feb. 21, 1960; parents, Anna and Floyd "Buck" Baldridge; brother, Floyd Baldridge and one granddaughter, Jade Baldridge.
Survived by two sons, Bruce (Sue) Baldridge and Monty Jr. of Columbus, OH; four daughters, Sheila (Harold) May, Vickie (Roger) Toops, Nancy Baldridge of Columbus, OH and Shirley (Barry) Sheets of Kettering, OH; step-son, David Parker; 20 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donnie and Ernie (Martha) Baldridge of Hillsboro, OH; five sisters, Judy Dorman of AZ, Betty (Fred) Roberds, Nellie Reffitt of Hillsboro, Sandy (Archie) Richter of Germantown, Patty (Larry) Davidson of Franklin; special companion of 13 years, Sharon Clary of Circleville; a host of many family, friends, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend, Frank (Rita) Scott of Rainsboro.
Visitation Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 11:30 am at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Muhlenburg Township Cemetery, Williamsport/Darbyville, OH. Pastor Dick Lugenbeel, Jr. to officiate.
