Nancy Barnicott

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Nancy Barnicott of Powell, Ohio who died March 22, 2026 at the age of 79.

Nancy was born in Massillon Ohio. Her journey also took her to Jasper Indiana, Louisville Kentucky and Nashville Tennessee.

Nancy is survived by daughter Stacy (Steve) Butterfield of Powell Ohio; daughter-in-law Kim Dutchess of N. Augusta South Carolina; and grandchildren Kyle Butterfield, Nick Butterfield and Emma Dutchess.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents William and Mildred Kula, her brother William Kula Jr, her beloved husband of 23 years Edwin Barnicott and her son Mark Dutchess.

Nancy’s favorite things: her family. ….her friends…..her loyal cat Cassie…..playing tennis……the beach…..a glass of chardonnay……listening to music…..playing Rummikub……laughing with her friends at StoryPoint.

Nancy’s was a life well lived and well loved. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed. If you met Nancy, you knew there was something special about her - from her outgoing personality to her laugh and kindness. She had a way of making everyone feel welcomed and important.

Her legacy lives on in the values she taught us: love, humor, resilience and faith. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
