Nancy Cartwright

Nancy Cartwright, 75, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, leaving behind a trail of kindness and love that will remain with her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Elizabeth Pearl Cartwright (Groves), with whom she shared much of her childhood; her parents, Benjamin and Norma Cartwright; and her youngest brother, Timothy.

Nancy is lovingly remembered by her children, Tiffeny, Melissa, and Codie; her grandchildren, Davontea, Curtis, Fredericka, Kaileah, and Giana; her 18 great-grandchildren; her brother, Michael; her sisters, Cathy, Becky, Cindy, and Chrissy; many nieces and nephews; and her furry companion, her dog Vito.

Family was the garden Nancy tended most tenderly. She spent many years surrounded by those she loved, and her natural calling to care for others blossomed into a fulfilling career in healthcare.

She carried a gentle devotion to animals and spoke up for anyone who needed a voice. With a green thumb, a curious mind, and a spirited spark, she found joy in reading, puzzles, music, history, and the quiet magic of everyday things.

A celebration of life will be held in the fall, Nancy's favorite season, at a location to be determined, before her ash-scattering ceremony—a final gathering in a setting touched by memory and peace. This page will be updated with additional information once plans are confirmed.

In lieu of flowers, her children and grandchildren invite donations to a cause close to Nancy’s heart: ending childhood hunger and supporting local animal shelters.
