Nancy Lee Hall

July 24, 1953 — July 21, 2020

Born July 24th 1953, to the late Durell Hall Sr. and Mary Lorean Hall: She was the second child of five siblings. On July 21st 2020 Nancy made a quiet, peaceful and triumphant transition to the presence of the Lord - her personal savior. Doing her Earthly Journey, her life was a flower bouquet commission in the Glory of the Lord. She was the joy of our hearts to those who knew and loved her. She always wanted to pray and tell you about Jesus who was her rock and author of her salvation. In short, she lived her life ready to meet Jesus.
Nancy enjoyed stylish clothing and many activities. She was extremely conscience of her appearance and very organized. She had a place for everything! A few of her favorite shopping establishments were Macys, JCPenney, Rose and Lowes hardware. She loved sweet corn, candy and home cooked greens.
Nancy was a dedicated Brownie and Girl Scout during her formative years. She was a sports minded young woman. She played basketball for McKinley High School in Canton Ohio. Being a member of the Yale and Harvard girls' basketball team was an athletic milestone for Nancy. She was one of the first lady body builders in professional competition in Canton Ohio. Before her accident she had been selected to be featured on Jet Magazine centerfold. Nancy was an avid roller-skater and without question one of the top female skaters in the Canton/Massillon area. When her favorite song Flashlight was played, Nancy would dazzle skaters both on and off the floor with her crazy-leg skating skills.
Nancy was a strong woman of faith. She grew up in Saint Paul's AME Church. She was an alter girl at Church during her youth. After her accident, she became a faithful watcher of TV Pastor, Bishop G E Patterson. Nancy had the great fortune of meeting Bishop Patterson in person at his Church in Memphis, Tennessee. The occasion was a family affair. Her siblings, niece and nephew pulled together to make the journey form Canton to Memphis possible using a rented special needs van. In fact the Church featured her on the large overhead screen during her Sunday morning visit. It was awesome!
She held various leadership positions including Vice President of the Residence Counsel at her assisted living facility in Columbus, Ohio.
Her favorite scripture was the 23rd Psalm. She loved hymns and gospel music. She enjoyed her cousin Tim Hall playing the piano. She truly loved her family and talked daily with them. Nancy's thirst for life was only surpassed by her kindness and desire to see people get along. She was truly an inspiration and comfort to all whom encountered her.
Without question, her greatest endeavor in life was sharing the love of Christ and greeted everyone with a smile. She will be missed…
