Nancy Hoisington

Nancy D. Hoisington, 55, of Columbus, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014 at O.S.U. Medical Center.

She was born December 31, 1958 in Wheeling, WV.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, James R. Hoisington.

Her passion for many years was being a caretaker for multi handicapped children at Northwest Developmental Center and The Ohio State School for the Blind.

Nancy is survived by her life partner, Christine A. Cummins; sons, Jedidiah Hoisington, Casey Cummins Hoisington and Jason Dodge; daughter, Kelsey Cummins Hoisington; mother, Joan Eads Hoisington; brother, Mark (Judy) Hoisington; sisters, Cynthia (Allan) Helle and Melody (Kenneth) Arends; grandchildren, Techoa Rose Hoisington and Chloe Nacole Hoisington; mother-in-law, Grandma Anna Mae Cummins; brother and sister-in-law, James and Ruthann Cummins; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.

Celebration of life will be Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.

Nancy was loving, kind, nurturing woman that was extremely gentle with children. Her door was always open to anyone and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to have known her.
