Nancy J. Korte

Nancy Jean Korte (Stires), age 84, went home to heaven after a long courageous battle with COPD on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Nancy was born on October 4, 1933 in Moxahala, OH to Walter and Vivian Grannon. She retired from AT&T after 30 years of service. She loved gardening, baking, and spending time with her family. Nancy will be remembered as a humble and kind soul, always willing to help anyone in need.

Preceded in death by her parents; son Ronald Lee Stires, and Daughter Lynette Renee Chavis.

Survived by her devoted daughter Deanna (William) Chatfield; sisters Sue (Larry) Baughman and Sandy Foor; grandchildren Shannon (Wesley) Swank, Brittani (Tyler) Bebel, Jack Stires, Brianna (Robert) East; great-grandchildren Kylyn, Kamira and Kaiya Swank, Gabriel and Noelle Bebel; nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to thank The Ohio Health Hospice team, and the hospice team at Doctors Hospital; especially her nurse of 8 months "Sweet Elizabeth" for her outstanding care and comfort.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Newcomer, Grove City, starting at 1pm until time of a memorial service at 2pm. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Kobacker House.
