Nancy L Smith

Nancy Lou Smith, age 70 of Columbus, Ohio passed away at Mt. Carmel St. Ann's Hospital on January 5, 2016. She was born on February 19, 1945 to the late Clara Edwards and Charles Woods. She is survived by her sister Sheridan Amos, Brother Dwight (Tina) Aubrey, nephews Damon Aubrey and Thomas Aubrey, niece Shilan Nutter, Cousin Melvin Edwards, special friend Karen Cox and other special family members. She is preceded in death by her Brother Gilbert Aubrey, Grandmother Amanda Richey, aunt Mary Edwards and brother-in-law Alonzo Amos.
Nancy was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 35years; her recent joy was viewing Bible based videos at home and reviewing the information in the book "Imitate Their Faith". It was not easy but she was especially happy to attend the International convention in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2014. It reminded her of the conventions when she first began to attend many years ago.
She also enjoyed gardening when she was younger. Every year she would order seeds and plant a garden in the tradition of her grandmother Amanda. Nancy also was gifted with the talent of art, oil painting was her favorite, and she also enjoyed cooking.
