Nancy M. (Deweese) Hawkins

Nancy M. (DeWeese) Hawkins born on November 23, 1933. She passed away on February 8, 2015 after a very courageous battle with cancer at the age of 81. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Columbus, OH and lived a number of years in Grove City, OH. She retired from Joseph D. Karam, Attorney at Law and Wendy's of Las Vegas for a total of 27 years. She is preceded in death by her Father and Mother, Ed & Thelma Munk, Sister, Sharon White, Ex-husband, Father of her 7 children, Edward DeWeese and special friend, Grady McMillen. She is survived by her 7 children, Michael (Angie) DeWeese, Lori DeWeese, Doug (Gale) DeWeese, Jodi Booterbaugh, Mark (Linda) DeWeese, Gregory DeWeese and Jeffrey DeWeese. Grandchildren, Shawn, Kevin, Erin, Kimberly, Jessica, Hunter, Nicole, Devin and Jamie and 13 great-grand children. Sisters, Sandy Sarina, Donna (Jim) Ott and Connie (David) Little. Many nieces, nephews and friends.

She graduated from Central High School, class of 1952. She enjoyed singing with the Dodge Senior Choir, Volunteering at Mt. Carmel West Hospital, Dancing, Music and spending time at the campground with her family. She was an avid OSU Buckeye Fan. We would like to give a very special thanks to Peggy and Melissa from Mt. Carmel Hospice.

Visitation will be held from noon to 4PM Friday February 13 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory 3393 Broadway Grove City, OH 43123 with a funeral service at 4PM by Pastor Gilbert R. Jarrell. In lieu of flowers you can donate to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
