Nancy Jane Spanable McNichols born on April 8, 1929 in Columbus, OH, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary Spanable; sister, Donna Howard; brother, John Spanable; son, Donald Wayne; son-in-law, Gary Oakley; and grandsons, Zachary Homoelle and Jacob Homoelle. Nancy is survived by beloved husband of 78 years, Donald L. McNichols; children, Janice Oakley, Joyce (Tom) Leffel, Joan (Adrian) Gibbs, Judy (Phil) Homoelle, June Ulrey, Donald Jeffrey McNichols; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

As a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Nancy loved children and taught Sunday school for many years. She retired from Lazarus/Macys as a seamstress. She was a loyal fan of the Cincinnati Reds baseball, and OSU football and basketball. She loved to do embroidery and needle point and was an avid reader.

Visitation Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 1:30pm until the time of Funeral Service at 3pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Private burial will be at Alton Cemetery in Galloway.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy's memory to Samaritan's Purse.
