Nand N. Batheja, 81, of Powell, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on December 3, 1943, in Hyderabad Sindh, India to Naraindas and Devi Batheja. Nand came to the U.S. to pursue his education with determination and earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Angola University in Indiana on June 7, 1969. He began his career with Howard and Needles in Cleveland, Ohio, and went on to dedicate four decades of service to Euthenics, also in Cleveland.
In 1971, Nand married Sheila, and together they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion to their family.
Nand will be remembered for his love of life’s simple joys—playing cards, road trips, enjoying movies and music, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. His loyalty, warmth, and kindness touched all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Gobind and Madan Batheja, and sisters Sharda, Koshlya, Savitri, and Popri. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sheila; daughters Sonia, Neeta, and Sapna; sons-in-law Sateen, Rajat, and Sachin; and seven cherished grandchildren: Shaan, Sohan, Jathan, Kareena, Devesh, Aari, and Nevin.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7, from 1–3 p.m. at Newcomer NW Chapel, 10051 Brewster Ln., Powell, Ohio 43065, with cremation to follow.
