Nelson Lee May, 87, of Blacklick, Ohio, passed away peacefully September 12, 2016 at Sunrise Senior Living of Gahanna. Born on September 21, 1928 in Fairmont, WV to the late James Okey and Alice Clarissa (Grimm) May.
Nelson retired from CMI Corporation, Oklahoma City, OK in 1996. He graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Business, and worked in purchasing and manufacturing management throughout his career. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and boating with his friends and family.
In addition to his parents, Nelson is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years Norma Jean (Smouse) May (2015), his sisters Dessie and Dorothy, and his brother Marvin.
Surviving are his loving daughters, Marsha (Perry) Hannah, Valerie (Terry) Poling, Brenda (Kevin) Dobel, Shari (Ben) Murphy, and Jennifer Douglas; grandchildren, Curtis (Amber) Hannah, Sam Dobel, Kelly Dobel, Stephanie Miggo, Christopher Miggo, and Amanda Miggo; great grandchildren, Evelyn Hannah, Abigail Hannah, and Nathan Dobel.
A private family memorial service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, Columbus, Ohio.
Interment will be at Beverly Hills in Westover, West Virginia.
