Along with her parents, Nonya was preceded in death by husbands, Chester Eugene Stout and “Chuck” Kenneth Charles Young; son, Anthony King Stout; brother, Jack Roger Lee, Jr.

Nonya was a server at Bob Evans in Columbus for many years, before moving to Florida, then Arizona and finally Colorado, before she moved back to Ohio. She continued serving and building friendships with customers, which led to her meeting her husband, Chuck. Nonya dived into the construction industry through her time with Chuck. They even lived on the Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona for a few adventures filled years. Once back in Ohio, she worked in fire restoration, delivered pantyhose for L’eggs, then opened and operated a construction cleaning company. A highlight of her years with husband Bob was moving to Lauralville, Ohio where they built, with the help of family and friends, a log cabin using 100-year-old square barn beams. Many good memories were made during that time.

In retirement, Nonya and Bob moved to Dominica. While living on the “Nature Island”, she and Bob managed rental property. She enjoyed her beach days, tubing with friends, swimming at the base of beautiful waterfalls, joining in the island festivities, and learning the culture of the people. She made lifelong friends.

Nonya loved to keep busy. She was very hands on and had many talents ranging from plumbing, to sewing, to chinking a log cabin. She loved gardening, spending time in nature, and refinishing antique furniture. In her free time, she would paint, craft things out of driftwood, and make jewelry using sea glass that she would find on her beach walks. She was very creative when upcycling items to use in her crafting. Many people thought of her as an inspiration. She was loved and will remain in the hearts of those that she knew.

The family will host a Celebration of Life to honor Nonya later in the spring which will include a taco truck and possibly even a White Castle or two. Information to come once date and time have been confirmed.
