It is with great sadness that the family of Norbert (Nobby) William Enslen Jr., 68, announces his passing away at his home in the morning hours of November 26th, 2018.
He was born to Anna Lee Enslen and Norbert William Enslen Sr. on March 5th, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio. He attended West Carrolton High School and graduated from the School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. He was a member of the US Army Corp of Engineers and following his service, settled in Columbus, Ohio where he would become a Certified Financial Planner and Senior Vice President.
He was a follower of Christ, and was actively involved at East Livingston Baptist and East Side Grace Brethren Church. Over the years he served as a treasurer and advisor at Grace Christian School, taught at the Ukrainian Bible Institute, led youth groups and church building projects, and volunteered at many homeless shelters throughout the city. In addition to being a man of great faith, he was also a profoundly dedicated husband and father. Nobby will be remembered for his great love, his abounding generosity, his deep humility, his contagious laughter, and his heartfelt wisdom.
He is preceded in death by his father, Nobby William Enslen Sr., and his brothers, Michael George Enslen and Carl August Enslen.
He is survived by Anna Lee Enslen [mother], Jean Bow [aunt], Shaw Nickel [sister], Lauren and Jeff Lane [daughter and son-in-law], Andrew Enslen [son], and his wife of 41 years, Cheryl Enslen.
Viewings will be held at East Side Grace Brethren Church (7510 East Broad Street, Blacklick, Ohio, 43004) from 5-8pm on Thursday and Friday from10-11am with service to follow.
