Norman L. Harris Sr.
April 28, 1952 — December 31, 2015
Norman (Dick) (Poppy) Harris Sr., 63, passed away in the comfort of his home with his family at his side on December 31, 2015. He was born in Charleston, WV in 1952.
He and his family moved to Columbus, OH in 1956. Norm met the love of his life in 1970 and married her the following year when they also started a family. Norm worked for Ruscilli Construction for 27 years as an ironworker. He was very dedicated to his job and loved to work. He retired in 2007.
Norm was an avid hunter, fisher, and gambler. He was also a huge Cleveland Browns and Ohio State fan. Norm is preceded in death by father, George Harris, mother, Shirley Harris, sisters, Missy Adkins and Sue Hodge.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Cindy, daughter, Dana (Greg) Scott, son, Norm Jr. (Tina) Harris, grandchildren, Brandon (Brooke) Lykins, Charli (Anthony) Stevens, Tyler (Brittany) Lykins, Justin Harris and Greg Scott Jr., great-granddaughters, Scarlett, Kaitlyn and Emma, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends, Richard and Lavonna Vanorder. Special thanks to Charlie Hodge for all of the help.
Visitation will be held from 4-7PM, Monday January 4, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123, where a funeral service will begin at 7pm.
