Ola Jean (Picklesimer) Spears, age 89, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018.
Jean had 11 brothers and sisters. She was the 7th child born to Rebecca (Sloan) and Dorman Picklesimer. She was born on the 7th day, of the 7th month, at 7:00 a.m. in Paintsville, KY.
Jean was married to Russell Spears Jr. who preceded her in death. Jean and Russell had 3 children - Pamela, Robert (Marsha) and Russell III (Kristina). Jean had 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dorman Picklesimer Jr. (Claudette); also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Jean graduated on VE day from Mead Memorial High School and retired from Southwestern City Schools as a cook at Westland High School.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Grove City, 3393 Broadway, where visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m.
Interment to follow at Grove City Cemetery (Old Section), Grove City, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ola's name to Stowe Mission, 888 Parsons Ave., PO Box 6341, Columbus, OH 43206.
