Orrin "Skip" Raymond Thornton

Orrin “Skip” Raymond Thornton, 84, of Johnstown, passed away on October 2, 2025. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 22, 1941 to the late John Raymond and Ada Marie (Sites) Thornton. He married Patricia Ann Moore on May 2, 1959, and she survives.

Along with Patricia, Skip is survived by daughter, Juanita Ives (William); grandchildren, Jennifer Baker; great grandchildren, Holden Baker and Haileigh Peters (Ryan); great, great grandchildren, Xaylee and Addison; and many other family members and friends.

Skip was a dedicated race car Driver for the Zodiac team for over 40 years. When he wasn’t taking the lead on the track, Skip worked on cars as a profession, from his own home. The brief time he was not around a car, Skip loved to go fishing.
