Pamela "Pam" McAllister passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and joyful spirit touched all who knew her.
Pam is lovingly remembered by her husband, Howard, with whom she shared 44 wonderful years of marriage, and her two children, Katie Strete (Jason) and Blake McAllister (Kelly), who were the light of her life. She was a proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Camden, Callan, Hadley, Graham, Elise, and Peyton. She also leaves behind her brothers, Bob and Rick, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
Pam was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Mary Ellen (Foltz) and William Forrest Berger, and her sisters Nancy, Lida, Marie, Jean, and Carolyn. The youngest of eight children, Pam deeply valued the bonds she shared with her siblings and carried their memory with her always.
A proud graduate of West High School, Pam went on to earn her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Ohio Dominican University. She dedicated 30 years of her professional life as a contracts manager for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
Since 1980, Pam called Westerville home. It was there she and Howard built a life together, raised their family, and formed lifelong friendships in a community she truly loved.
Known for her outgoing nature and generous heart, Pam had an infectious smile and a way of making everyone feel welcome. She found joy in life's simple pleasures-relaxing by the shores of Lake Erie, spending quality time with family, and doting on her beloved dog, Riley. She also cherished her annual trips to Disney World, especially the peaceful moments spent at Old Key West Resort, a place that brought her joy, comfort, and magical memories year after year.
Pam's legacy of love, kindness, and laughter will continue to live on through the lives she touched. She will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
